If you live in or near Brookings, I also want to invite you to Monday's public hearing with South Dakota Department of Transportation engineers. We need a great turnout to dissuade DOT from its proposed street-widening project! Show up, and we'll be happy to give you a red ribbon to wear around your arm, to match the red ribbons we've tied around our trees.
The hearing will be held at 5:30 pm, Monday, April 28, at the Brookings City & County Government Center, 520 3rd Street. Let's pack the place!
