[ARCHIVED] TEMPORARY AIRPORT CLOSURES FOR FAA NAVAID TESTING AND TUNING – AIRFIELD REALIGNMENT PROJECT

The Brookings Regional Airport has scheduled temporary closures of the airport. These temporary closures will allow the FAA to test and tune sensitive navigational equipment that is part of the Instrument Landing System (ILS). In an effort to reduce the impact to airport users, other contractors will also be completing work near the new Runway 12/30 as part of current construction phase. The airport may be reopened to air traffic sooner provided work has been completed for the day. Pilots should check all Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) before each flight. Please forward this notice to anyone that may be interested.

These closures are scheduled to take place on:
• Wednesday, September 24, 2014 starting at 8:00 AM and ending at 6:30 PM; and
• Thursday, September 25, 2014 starting at 8:00 AM and ending at 6:30 PM.

Questions may be directed to Airport Management at (605) 697-8664.
