The City of Brookings website offers many online services including a Notify Me feature. Under this feature, you can sign up to be notified by email or text message when any of the following are issued: emergency alerts, City Council Meeting agendas are posted, bid postings, job postings, announcements & news, legal notices and city calendar events. Go to the link below. Enter your email address and select to subscribe for an email notification and for text message notification next to the items you would like to be notified about.
If you sign up for emergency alerts, you will receive an email or a text message when one of the following occurs:
• Snow ban has been declared
• A potential snow ban could be declared
• Snow removal procedures
• Emergency evacuations
• Any other emergency circumstances deemed necessary
