The A.B.L.E. Award (Ability, Belief, Leadership and Equality to Achieve Access For All) is an annual award program designed to recognize the outstanding commitment of a business or public entity in fulfilling the goals of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Highlighting the efforts of an outstanding business or entity may motivate others to provide improved accessibility to goods and services.

This year, Mayor Reed and the Brookings Committee for People who have Disabilities will present the following two awards:

Camelot Intermediate School Playground
The Neighborhoods at Brookview

The ABLE Awards presentation will be held in conjunction with the Butler Human Rights Award and the Mayor’s Awards for Historic Preservation at the Camelot Intermediate School, 1401 15th Street S, on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the program beginning at 6:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
