NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Landfill Leachate Hauling Services
Sealed original bids will be received by the City Council of Brookings, South Dakota, at the office of the City Clerk at the Brookings City & County Government Center, 520 3rd Street, Suite 230, Brookings, South Dakota, until 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, for landfill leachate hauling services. All bids will then be publicly opened and read.
Such bids are to provide for hauling services of landfill leachate from the City of Brookings Regional Landfill, located at 4101 30th Street, Brookings, SD 57006 to the Brooking Municipal Utilities Wastewater Treatment Plant, located at 21660 470th Avenue, Brookings, SD 57006. Hauling of leachate will be restricted to scheduled landfill hours and Brookings Municipal Utilities acceptance policies.
Specifications and bidding blanks may be inspected and procured at the office of the Brookings Regional Landfill, 4101 30th Street, Brookings, SD 57006 or online at www.cityofbrookings-sd.gov. Bidders may contact the Landfill at 605.693.3667 with questions or to be placed on the Planholders List. Bidders shall check the City website for Addendums.
Services shall be invoiced monthly. Payment terms will be 30 calendar days from invoice receipt.
All bids must be signed and submitted in a sealed envelope and shall state on the left hand corner of the envelope “BID FOR LANDFILL LEACHATE HAULING SERVICES.” Any bids received after the deadline will not be accepted.
No bids may be withdrawn after the time set for the opening of bids. Action on the bids will occur within 45 days of the bid opening. The City of Brookings reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all bids.
