NOTICE TO BIDDERS

City Hay Lease, Section 21-T110N-R50W (west of Brookings Airport)

Sealed bids will be received by the City Council of Brookings, South Dakota, at the Office of the City Clerk at the Brookings City & County Government Center, 520 3^rd Street, Suite 230, Brookings, South Dakota, until 1:30 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2022, for “City Hay Lease, Section 21-T110N-R50W.”  All bids will then be publicly opened and read.  

The bids are to lease approximately 85 acres of hay land located in the SE ¼ of Section 21-T110N-R50W, which is west of the Brookings Regional Airport.

Specifications and bidding blanks may be inspected and procured at the City Engineer’s Office, 520 3^rd Street, City & County Government Center, Brookings, South Dakota, 57006 or online at www.cityofbrookings-sd.gov.  Questions should be directed to Charlie Richter, City Engineer, at (605) 692-6629.   Bidders shall check for addendums on the website.

All bids must be signed and submitted in a sealed envelope and shall state on the left corner of the envelope, “City Hay Lease, Section 21-110-50.”  Any bids received after the deadline will not be accepted.     

No bids may be withdrawn after the time set for the opening of bids. Action on the bids will occur within 30 days of the bid opening. The City of Brookings reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all bids.
