The Department of Public Works will hold an informational meeting on the 8th Street South and Main Avenue intersection project on June 9, 2022 at 5:30 pm to provide details on the scope of work and detour route for the project. The informational meeting with be held in Room 300 of the Brookings City County Government Building located at 520 3rd Street.
This project will include removal of the existing asphalt surface in the intersection and replacing it with concrete; and water main work. The project will start the week of June 6th and will continue until the week of August 15, 2022, weather permitting. During this time thru traffic will be detoured around the construction area (see detour route map here). This route will be signed appropriately.
