The City of Brookings is changing its summer business hours to accommodate the needs of residents. By opening 60 minutes earlier Monday through Friday, residents will have an opportunity to conduct business before 8 a.m. To make the customer-service initiative budget-neutral for taxpayers, these facilities will close at noon on Friday. Building plans can be submitted electronically via the City’s online building permit process by visiting the building permits/applications page to the building division and inspections can occur at 7 a.m. as well. The City can be contacted any time of day or night through the newly launched Engage Brookings app.
The County will continue to serve the public 8-5 p.m. Monday – Friday.
Updated summer hours schedule information for each City department is available on each department's webpage or by calling (605) 692-6281.
