Brookings, South Dakota – Today, the City of Brookings has announced the release of a new app and web platform called “Engage Brookings” that allows citizens to report quality-of-life issues, request City of Brookings services, and access helpful links, all from their mobile devices or computer. The City partnered with SeeClickFix an organization that specializes in citizen tools for local governments to develop and release the app.
With the free Engage mobile app and web tools, Brookings citizens will now be able to provide City of Brookings staff with pictures, videos, specific descriptions, and more — valuable information needed to get the job done efficiently. In addition, the Engage Brookings platform provides City of Brookings officials with a centralized issue management system to manage issues from creation to resolution, while engaging citizens throughout the process.
The City is extremely excited to offer this new application and service to residents. Assistant City Manager Jake, Meshke says, “Engage Brookings is a way for staff to engage with residents on a personal one-on-one level to ensure responsiveness to their concerns and to provide exceptional customer service.”
This partnership not only allows Brookings citizens to report problems like potholes, or code enforcement issues, and make requests but also to view, comment on, and track what’s happening along the way. They can report anonymously as a guest; they can create an account, enabling them to follow the progress of all their service requests.
The Engage Brookings mobile app is available for download on Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.cityofbrookings.seeclickfix and iPhone
