Snow Removal Routes

Each winter storm has unique characteristics. Climatological factors such as storm intensity and duration, wind, temperature, and moisture content affect the total amount of snow and/or ice accumulation and influence the methods used to combat the resulting snow and/or ice related conditions.

Sanding commences as soon as the vehicle braking action deteriorates during ice and snow accumulation. Deteriorating conditions due to drifting, excessive snow depth, slushing, and re-freezing (or a combination thereof) could require immediate snow removal action without a snow emergency declaration in order to allow safe winter driving conditions for the motoring public.

Following is a list of the areas in the order in which snow removal service will be directed. After these routes are finished, snow removal will proceed on all other residential streets and alleys.
