2022 Citizens First Responder Academy

On August 30, 2022 the Brookings Police Department will present the opening session for the Citizens' First Responder Academy. For 12 weeks, class attendees will receive information and instruction on the Brookings Police Department, Brookings Sheriff Office, University Police Department, Department of Criminal Investigations, Brookings Fire Department, Brookings Highway Patrol, Court Services, Probation, Parole and Brookings Emergency Medical Services. This program is not an accredited certification course.

The first class will be at the Brookings Police Department on August 30th. Classes are held every Tuesday evening (Two exceptions - Monday, October 3 and Wednesday, November 9) from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The last class will be November 15, 2022. See the full schedule (PDF).
